Opus Easytard TF has been formulated as an aqueous mobile liquid suitable for spray application to the top face of horizontally cast concrete. Opus Easytard TF produces an exposed aggregate finish suitable for keying a construction joint or to enable excellent bonding of subsequent coatings or toppings.
- Easily spray applied onto a fresh concrete surface.
- Coloured to assist with uniform application.
- Uniform depth of retardation/exposed aggregate.
- Product is non staining and suitable for all types of cement.
- Opus Easytard TF is water based with no flammable or toxic solvents present.
- Alleviates the need for mechanical tooling/scabbling.
Appearance: Blue/green aqueous
Freezing Point: 0 oC
Specific Gravity @ 15.5oC: 1.08
Opus Easytard TF should be spray applied to fresh horizontally cast concrete at a rate of 3.5m2 /litre immediately after finishing, avoid excessive trowelling of the concrete as this may seal the surface and negate the retarding action. Avoid application to free standing/bleed water. During the curing period, protect the treated surfaces from rain and frost. Removal should take place between 2-12hrs. The retarded matrix should be removed by hosing/brushing to expose the underlying aggregate. All equipment can be cleaned with water following application.
Opus Easytard TF should be spray applied by pneumatic spray equipment at the rate of 3-5 m2 /litre. The depth of exposure is governed by the cement content, w/c ratio, etc. Trial casts should be assessed prior to use, NB. Certain admixtures hinder retarding action, again evaluate prior to use.
STORAGE & HANDLING
Opus Easytard TF is supplied in sealed 205 litre and 20 litre containers. No special storage facilities are needed. Spillages should be washed down to avoid slippery surfaces.
